Amanda’s practice focuses on intellectual property portfolio management and dispute resolution. Amanda brings a creative perspective to the Cloudigy team by integrating her design background into her visualization and solution development for a wide variety of clients’ legal problems. Her experience includes trademark clearance and prosecution; copyright filings; and trademark, copyright, patent, and breach of contract litigation.

Amanda frequently conducts trademark clearance searches and registration analyses for her clients in the course of managing and prosecuting trademarks. In the course of her dealings with the Trademark Office, Amanda has responded to Office Actions and drafted Petitions for Cancellation on behalf of her clients. Amanda has also helped clients successfully develop and execute branding and re-branding efforts by acting as a sounding board for the creative aspects of branding and by helping clients navigate the policies of various social media platforms.

Amanda is also involved in intellectual property disputes. Amanda has had experience with pre-litigation dispute resolution, breach of contract litigations, and trademark, copyright, and patent infringement actions at both the trial and appellate level. In order to help clients protect their trademarks, Amanda has researched competitors’ infringing activities, drafted cease and desist letters, engaged in settlement discussions, and analyzed third-party use of related marks.

Before joining Cloudigy, Amanda was a law student at William & Mary, where she worked on the Environmental Law and Policy Review journal, participated in the Family Law Clinic, and completed several private practice internships. Prior to law school, Amanda graduated from Washington and Lee University with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Medieval and Renaissance studies, with a minor in Creative Writing.

In her free time, Amanda loves to design and sew clothing, work with CAD and architectural modeling programs, and dive into a video game or tabletop gaming session (Dungeons and Dragons and Magic the Gathering are long time favorites).
